BHI's pre-travel consultation service offers a risk-based customised health assessment to detect and manage the potential risks associate with your trip. The aim of the consultation is to prepare you for a healthy trip through education, raising awareness, vaccinations and medications.
What is covered in the consultation very much depends on your travel destinations, itinerary and activities, your health status and your concerns. Topics covered include food and waterborne infections, mosquito and insect prevention, malaria, sun protection, long-haul flight, sexually transmitted diseases, rabies, vaccines required for your trip and any other concerns that you may have regarding your trip.
The consultation generally takes 40 to 60 minutes and includes a health and travel questionnaire review, a medical assessment, an assessment of your vaccine and medication needs, and administration of the required vaccines. You may need return visits for further vaccines but these visits will not incur further consultation fees.
You will be provided with a travel vaccination passport/certificate confirming the vaccines you received.
